Daniel Gordon

-Daniel Gordon is an American artist from Brooklyn, New York. The work that I am most interested that he did was a series of photographs of himself flying. He made these works from 2001-2004 and they have sparked an idea in my head and inspired me for a project that I would like to do. Here is a link to see more of his work, but here are just a few of my favorites.

Cornelia Konrads

Gravity Defying Land Art by Cornelia Konrads sculpture land art installation

-Above is a sculpture by Cornelia Konrads who is a German artist that did a lot of mind bending and gravity-defying installations that were sight specific. A lot of her installations also utilize the materials that were from that area. I have never seen anything like this work before and am so intrigued in the way that she makes an interaction between man and nature seem mind blowing and "other-worldly". Below are a couple more of my favorite installations by Konrads.

Erwin Wurm

-Erwin Wurm is an Austrian artist born in 1954, who does a lot of really interesting sculptural works. His work is produced almost with no thought beforehand and are mostly about his depictions of everyday life. He thinks that it is very important for his works to provoke humor in them as well, which was something that really brought me into wanting to look at his work. For example, the piece I have selected below is called Idiot I.

-I have also attached a link to a short video about Erwin Wurm below!
